Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale has made significant changes to Tracy Metcalfe’s closing letters.
Last night’s episode (July 3) saw Tracy say “I do” to Nate in an informal church ceremony officiated by deputy Charles Anderson. However, their marriages are not official yet, the husband and wife say that they will fix that part as soon as possible.
However, by the time of the finale, it was confirmed that Tracy would take the name of her new husband, with her character labeled as “Tracy Robinson”.

The wedding didn’t exactly go off without a hitch, with Cain Dingle and Moira Barton disrupting the proceedings.
After returning to Tracy, Cain hears from Nicola that Nate is heading straight to Hotten Town Hall. Fearing his son is on the verge of doing something stupid – like fighting for daughter Frankie’s rights – Cain and Moira rush to Town Hall to check with Nate.
When they arrive, the two see Tracy in her wedding dress and assume that she is there to marry another man. Cain thinks Nate is there to ruin Tracy’s marriage and dramatically steals her baby.

Fortunately, after some time, Cain learns the identity of Tracy’s fiancé – Nate – and Charles’ unofficial ceremony goes ahead at the village church.
Although the original wedding was not planned, viewers saw Tracy and Nate enjoy a last-minute change where they confirmed their love and commitment to each other.
EmmerdaleAmy Walsh, who plays Tracy, joked that like their wedding day, Tracy and Nate’s future relationship as husband and wife will be rocky but strong.
“It’s like domestic bliss, meeting all the challenges that come with it,” he says. “So he’s got some career challenges coming up, but what’s good to see, in the next stages after the wedding, is hitting the bumps and going over them.”
Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV1, and airs on ITVX.
