TCL Unveils 2023 Soundbar Range – And Even The Highest-End Model Comes Under $300

TCL Unveils 2023 Soundbar Range - And Even The Highest-End Model Comes Under $300

Although TCL is best known for selling amazingly good TVs at very low prices, the brand seems to be aiming to regain the same reputation for sound quality. The latest installment in this soundbar journey sees TCL launch at least five bar models for 2023, split into two categories where even the highest-end model will set you back $279.99.

The top model in TCL’s new soundbar range is called the Q Class. There are two of these: 3.1-channel Q6310, and 5.1-channel Q6510. Both models support ‘Dolby Audio’ and DTS Virtual:X playback, and both have the same connectivity features that include an ARC-capable HDMI port, a USB port, a 3.5mm auxiliary jack, and an audio jack. Both Q Class models are also equipped with a passenger compartment reading system powered by TCL’s AI Sonic system.

The Q6510, however, provides a power of 430W in four components that consist of a large soundbar, a wireless subwoofer with a 6.5-inch driver, and two wireless rear speakers, while the Q6310 feeds 350W into the soundbar and subwoofer, without the rear speakers.

In an ideal world the higher end version of the two would include an HDMI port – but even the Q6510 only costs $279.99, so you can be forgiven for cutting a ‘perfect world’ corner or two.

The low-end Q6310 is the cheapest at $229.99 – although I’d say that by giving you the best sound quality for just $50, the Q6510 seems like the better value of the two.

The other three models in TCL’s new soundbar range are the so-called S Class. These models are more powerful and slightly more compact in their design than the Q Class models, but still seem to offer a lot of bang for the buck.

The most popular version of the S Class is the 5.1-channel S4510. This costs $229.99 for Dolby Audio and DTS Virtual:X decoding and 300W of total power feeding into a four-component system that includes a large soundbar, a subwoofer (this time with a small 5.5-inch driver), and two rear speakers.

The mid-range S Class model, the $179.99 S4310, packs 240W of total power, includes a dedicated center speaker in the main sound bar you don’t get with the entry-level S Class model, and retains the subwoofer to provide a 3.1-channel configuration.

The cheapest of TCL’s new speakers, finally, is the $149.99 S Class S4210. This sees the power drop to 200W, while the number of channels drops to 2.1. In other words, the main bar carries two channels, while the same S Class subwoofer is about to provide a bass line of ‘.1’.

All three S Class models feature HDMI inputs with ARC support, Bluetooth, audio inputs, USB ports, IR extender ports, 3.5mm Aux ports, and 3.5mm AUX VA ports, with all three S Class models. it also has voice control options. .

The Q Class and S Class soundbars are available now from several electronics retailers, while more information can be found on TCL’s website.
